Searching for a UK manufacture with a suitable mounting platform and hinged tower has revealed that there are no products available from a single source. We have decided to design and build our own and we have now started to manufacture the system.
Over many years, we have also received many enquiries globally, regarding the mounting Turbines for different applications. Permanent, reusable and portable. Other requirements such as easily moved and quick to assemble, reduction of excessive use of Concrete in the Foundations, reduce waste material, requirement for reduction use of expensive heavy plant and easier access to the mechanical components for prototyping, lowering cost servicing.
Having many years of experience using our own portable surface mounting system, we have now designed a system which reflects customer enquiries.
Our system designed around box section steel section which is built in a structured sections and bolt together on site. We can extend the structure for larger applications by bolt on extender, no welding or expensive equipment required. Each section has adjustable feet so that a level assembly can be achieved on uneven ground. The assembly is placed on hard core base or a shallow concrete base for extra stability. We place on top of the frames Pre made concrete blocks or containers which are filled with water for ballast
The tower is a hinged assembly using hydraulic rams. This allows for quick and easy access to the mechanical components of the turbine without using large heavy plant equipment such as cranes and licenced trained operators.
